Following recent news on the withdrawal on the Boeing-Iveco bid for Land 400 Phase 2 comes news of the decision by Raytheon-Nexter bid to follow suit. On the other hand, it is all but confirmed that a joint bid comprising Elbit Systems and Singapore's St Kinetics will be throwing their hat into the ring before the tender deadline expires on 6th August.
This leaves four Prime partnerships with the intention to submit a bid in response to the Land 400 Phase 2 - Mounted Combat Reconnaissance Capability Request For Tender. In no particular order, they will be;
GDLS-A with Thales
Rheinmetall with Northrop Grumman
BAE Systems with Patria
Elbit Systems with ST Kinetics
The new vehicle will need variants to perform reconnaissance, command and control, joint fires, surveillance, ambulance, repair and recovery roles and will be acquired as part of the Land 400 program which will also replace the M113 armoured personnel carriers, provide manoeuvre support vehicles and an integrated training system.
