BRUCK delivers leading innovative technical textiles to the ADF

Bruck is a leading supplier of combat and non-combat uniform fabrics for the Australian Defence Force.  Bruck’s ongoing investment in research and development has resulted in innovative solutions for fragment protection, near infra-red signature management, waterproof and breathable wet weather outerwear, flame retardant cold weather outerwear and extreme cold weather outer and underwear fabrics. 

Bruck partnered with industry leaders and the Australian Defence Force to develop the new inherent flame retardant (FR) fabric for combat uniforms for the Australian Army (AMCU) and the Royal Australian Navy (MMPU)

The Australian Multicam Camouflage Uniform (AMCU), was developed by Bruck in collaboration with the Department of Defence and DSTG (Defence Science and Technology Group).  The AMCU fabric is suitable for multi-terrain camouflage, including land close combat operations, field training, and as a dress of the day uniform. The hybrid pattern and color palette of the AMCU combines features of the Australian Multicam Pattern with the Disruptive Pattern Camouflage Uniform.

The Maritime Multicam Camouflage Uniform (MMPU), was developed exclusively for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and is available in MMPU Sea and MMPU Shore versions. MMPU Sea has the fire retardant and antistatic properties. The fabric maintains its FR properties after laundering and exposure to sea water.

We are excited to be working with Rheinmetall and supplying them our ballistic fabric for use in their wheeled armoured vehicles. Bruck’s anti-ballistics range uses high-tensile para-aramid yarns, which have demonstrated effectiveness in protection applications, and offers lightweight, durable, and cost-effective solutions for various threat levels, including bullets and fragment protection, tailored to each customer's requirements.

Bruck is the only Australian weaver that manufactures DuPont™ NOMEX® fabric, proprietary PBI Gold® and PBI Matrix® outer shells and is the only PROBAN® licensee operating in the region offering various industrial and protective fabrics using aramids, para-aramids and flame-retardant viscose for added comfort.
