DELIVERING ADVANCED MISSION SOLUTIONS IN AUSTRALIA

L3Harris builds, delivers, maintains and supports complex systems and equipment for Australia and for export, supporting the Australian Industry Capability strategy. 

Under the Peregrine contract, L3Harris is delivering four modified G550 aircraft with an integrated mission system that provides the latest EW capabilities for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Under the Land 200 contract, L3Harris is delivering the tactical communications network for the ADF into the next decade.

Centre of Excellence for Electronic Warfare

The Centre of Excellence for Electronic Warfare is home to world-leading design, manufacture and integration expertise and the sustainment of high-reliability electronic warfare components. L3Harris has already created more than 120 jobs at this Eight Mile Plains facility and will develop and train a highly skilled workforce to design and develop Australia’s sovereign defence capabilities.

The team will deliver L3Harris’ next-generation space, airborne and cyber capabilities for the Australian warfighter. They will also support the Australian Defence Force through identifying capabilities of interest across borders, navigating methods to quickly bring these systems into Australia and providing a local in-country support service for these capabilities.

Indo-Pacific Regional Support Centre (RSC)

L3Harris’ commitment to supporting the Australian Government’s National Defence Strategy (NDS) and Defence Industry Development Strategy (DIDS), and operations in the APAC region, has led to the creation of a Regional Support Centre (RSC) model, which will dramatically reduce turnaround times for repairs of Controlled Cryptographic Items, getting vital resources back into the hands of Australian Defence Forces and allies and emergency services personnel who need them to protect national sovereignty.

Through the RSC, L3Harris will be able to provide expanded cradle-to-grave and end-to-end system support to a wider range of our enterprise-wide capability portfolio’s customers, strengthening regional partnerships by being an international industry partner, to the US Defense Regional Sustainment Framework, a blueprint aimed at empowering a globally connected, distributed and resilient MRO ecosystem.
