Description

NZDIA Chairman, Scott Arrell

We have chosen this theme to showcase the scope of the technologies that are being designed and delivered to modern defence forces. Advances in simulation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and next generation platforms to name a few, will be under discussion. Cyber is the new warfare domain across the full spectrum of National Security Agencies and as a result Industry has a huge part to play in delivering solutions to a wider range of agencies.

We have decided to integrate the trade display area with the traditional presentation space, this year in a new Wellington venue, at the Westpac Stadium. The Westpac Stadium offers us a range of new and exciting options for delivering a successful forum. As in previous years we want to retain high impact presentations balanced with opportunities to network and experience industry capabilities, and to create a focus for the all important networking and social objectives.

We are continuing with our planning to focus on Key Note speeches from Government and the Ministry, alongside Defence Executives, as well as Industry and Academic experts. We are expecting attendance to exceed 500 delegates from a global audience and we are looking forward to welcoming international delegates who will leverage their travelling time by attending both the NZDIA Forum and Pacific 2017, the week before in Sydney.

The NZDIA Forum continues to be the critical event that brings Government, Defence and Industry both International and local together in New Zealand. In addition, we plan to attract other Government Ministries and Agencies to attend who have a common interest in National Security. This will be the Forum where past relationships are reinvigorated and new ones begin. Plan now to attend.
